Runners (had there been any) would have had the benefit of arrows leading eastwards on the riverside walking track, : then looping back across town via East Tce to explore trails in the new subdivision in the Braemar Drive area. The final stretch was a local walkway threading back into : the town centre along the western bank of the Angas River, accessed from North Parade. The walkers got back in 59 minutes, guided past loops and false trails : by the hare (who added a few ad hoc short cuts to suit the pace of the pack). The walkers were led up the hill by Budgie for a look at the recent subdivision at the junction of Bollen and Flaxley Roads, : while Scrubber and Goanna visited the Golf Course. Beautiful rural landscapes. : The hares led the way via Mace Rd to Blakiston Road where it began to look like a late arrival at the pub, however the plan was for us to : be guests of the Savages, just off the crest on Blakiston Road. Pierre made a new friend, Cameron and Cannibal ferried drivers back to the pub to collect the cars, : and a pleasant evening was enjoyed on the patio. : Run : 952 When : Monday 24 Nov 2008 Where : Opposite CFS,Greenhill Rd Carey Gully 7:30pm. Park Hare : Sybil (a.k.a C. Bull) Was : joined by local resident Victoria. The scribe has no idea what happened as he was a guest of Eastern Suburbs (Melbourne) at the time. Run : 949 When : Monday 3 Nov 2008 Where : Front of Rising Sun Hotel, Lobethal On On : **LOBETHAL Hotel** 16 Main St Lobethal ('cos the Rising Sun was too busy with Darts players) Hare : Hungry Was : a walking only pack of 13 (except that Sybil & Sally opted to walk 7.3km around most of what would have been the run circuit). : The walk route was Gumeracha Rd>Eckermann Rd>Mt Torrens Rd>home, a shade over 5km. Budgie, Aussie and Plug had an exploratory beer in the Rising Sun : while the slower walkers came in, then we migrated to the hospitality of the Lobethal, where a generous spread was provided. : Sally reported that she and Sybil had been followed along a fence line for quite some distance by curious cows (who must have known : they were Bulls!) Run : 948 When : Monday 27 Oct 2008 Where : Front of Supermarket, Macclesfield On On : Macclesfield RSL Hare : Slacky Was : an amble northwards up Bugle Ranges Rd for the walkers, before heading over to the Adelaide-Strathalbyn Rd, : passing the runners coming on the reverse route, on the way. 18 at the bar afterwards, plus Ben scting as barman. : Slacky got a down down port for his 61st birthday on the previous Saturday. On On : Miller's Arms Hares : Bud & Rowdy Was : A car convoy to the base of Mt Barker for the walkers, then on up to enjoy the view and a walk around the summit. The runners ran all the way & nearly beat the : cars home. 13 in the pack. When : SUNDAY 19 Oct 2008- Scrubber & Hungry represented Adelaide Hills Hash at an Adelaide Full Moon Hash Memorial run for Washboard (Sonja); Trail laid included her ashes, : and was set on her favourite running and walking routes around Strathalbyn. It was on out towards Mt Barker. : The circuit inclued a road starting with an M..Martin Road perhaps? The food made a big impression on Budgie afterwards... : especially the kebabs...and the sausages! On On : Budgie's shed,14 Hawthorn Road, Mt Barker Hares : Budgie Was : a circuitous route around the showgrounds to the newly developed areas close to Mitre 10. : At one point the hare almost admitted to being lost, due to the rate of development in the area. : The usual enjoyable on after in The Shed. On On : Miller's Arm's Hares : Hungry Was : a pack of 13, with Goanna & Scrubber following directions written in large black indelible textaclour, while the walkers followed Hungry : on a clockwise loop around Nairne, starting in Jeffrey Street. A walking track got the pack to Shakes Rd, from where it was up Commercial and down Britannia : to the old station yard. An attempt to loop through Webber Drive to the north side of town was blocked by developments that Hungry's mapmakers : didn't know about. Scrubber & Goanna already knew this, so hid behind a stobie pole to watch the fun, then tagged onto the back of the pack. : The new park area with ponds, bridges & pavilions provided an interesting return route to the familiar environs of the station, and then on back to : the pub. Was : A "drive out" start, east up Newman Rd for the walkers, who parked at the corner of Five Lanes Rd. : Scrubber & Goanna parked a km out of town to clock up some extra distance, but ended up taking a wrong turn on the run : (detected when Scrubber recognised the Inverbrackie Creek). Good value as regards food at the pub afterwards. Run : 936 When : Monday 4 Aug 2008 Where : Front of Crafers Inn 7:45pm. On On : Crafers Inn (including AGM) Hare : Wee Watcher. Was : over the footbridge and along the footpath bordering the freeway, to Laurel Road, then : over Longwood Rd , up past the Hospital (passed around 8:30) and into Ethel Street. : Crafty, hampered by an ankle injury, turned back before we got to the spectacularly steep slope past Flash's abode. : The on home followed the northern side of the freeway, up the Crescent onto Piccadilly Rd, with the tail end of the : pack getting in about 9:30 after a fruitless search for Cannibal's dropped glove. : The 10 minute AGM saw office holders re-elected, and re-adoption of a 7:30 start. Venue: TBA Was : A start from the Cemetery, heading south down Snelling Road, with hand crafted arrows (Scrubber was ecstatic). : A steep rain slicked stretch of fire trail caused a bit of excitement, and a temperature inversion at the bottom : kept the pack in pot-belly generated smog for quite a while. Was : Apu, Plug, Heads or Tails and Barbie accompanied the Hare & Pierre through reserves, streets, stairways, laneways, : (admiring posh new housing in Glendale Avenue), firetracks, wet grass and flooding footpaths. Afterwards: pea and ham soup, : a spot of finger food and drinks in the welcome warmth & dryness of Chez Hungry. Apu led the 6 other walkers and Pierre up Sprigg Road, then : down Gores Rd to the Piccadilly Road and home. Run : 931 When : Monday 30th June 2008 Where : Carpark, Balhannah Hotel, 7:45pm. On On : Balhannah Hotel Hare : Plug. Was : Towards Oakbank, up Oakwood Rd, across the river and into Wicks Road, then back to the pub : to escape from the wind and damp with a good feed at the bar. "About 11". Run : 930 When : Monday 23rd June 2008 Where : Keith Stephenson Park (UBD 172 L10)- car park opposite High School, Mt Barker, 7:45pm. On On : Gray's Inn, Mt Barker Hare : Slacky. Was : As an alternative to the fallback walk towards the Settling Ponds and back, the plan was for the women to : pick an outbound route, and the men lead the on home after 30 minutes. This fell in a heap after half the pack halted at the : roundabout corner to allow Bones & Cannibal to catch up. The end result was a walk along the Wellington Road to the intersection : with Hurling Drive, then back along Hurling and the walkway through the fringe of Keith Stephenson Park . The front walkers did a little extra loop : around Zanker Drive. 10 (or was it 11?) at the bar afterwards. Run : 929 When : Monday 16th June 2008 Where : Side of Woodside Hotel,Woodside 7:45pm. On On : Woodside Hotel Hare : Ken & Barbie. Was : A moonlt walk for 11 along the Valley Road to Felix St where the local dogs demonstrated : what they thought about their cat-flavoured street name.Then around past the Chocolate Factory, & into : Naughton Road for a steady climb up to panoramic views from Ridge Road, finally descending to the : pub down Tolmer Road. Back at 9:07. Run : 928 When : Monday 9th June 2008 Where : Tom Playford monument opposite Scenic Hotel, Norton Summit 7:45pm. On On : Crafers Inn Hare : Hungry. Was : 2 runners and 7 walkers following Debney's Road to Marble Hill Rd. Here the walkers did some extra distance : on Pound & Osborne Roads, and Lindner Avenue, before overtaking the walkers on Fire Trail 40, which brought the : pack out on to the bitumen at Marble Hill Road, for an on home along Lobethal Road and some glimpses of the city lights from Crescent Drive. : Heavy rain in the lead up to the start had deterred the hare from laying trail (except for a few gyprock arrows for possible late arrivals, & to help the runners.) : The only real problem with this was at a tricky fork on Fire Trail 40, which caused some mild excitement in the gloom, however all emerged safely : and gathered at the Crafers for the usual. Was : Down the Valley Road into the Golf Course, across to the top gate on Beasley Rd, : backtracking along Valley Road, a loop around Pike St to admire the old brewery building, : into Ilinga Ave opposite the Oval, & back to the Pub via Kurla & Junction Roads. 12 at the bar. Run : 926 When : Monday 26th May 2008 Where : Carpark of Crafers Inn 7:45pm. On On : Crafers Inn Hare : Wee Watcher. Was : a damp but amazingly rain-free walk for "8 or 9" along the walkway next to the Freeway, to Glenside Lane, then along : Old Mt Barker Rd to Wright Rd. A loop on newly-cleared trails, marked in time-expired cornice cement around Holiday Reserve, : led on to an on-home along Piccadilly Rd. : Run : 925 When : Monday 19th May 2008 Where : Carpark of Balhannah Hotel 7:45pm. Was : A convoy to the gates of Oakbank Racecourse, then off up Shillabeer Road, a lot darker than last time we did this. : Then into Clisby, enjoying the rural quiet, before experiencing speeding commuters on high beam on the Valley Road. : The peace and quiet of Walters & Size Roads took us back to the cars, then on to the pub and a good feed. (Scrubber plus 7 walkers, with Goanna : joining us at the bar) : Run : 924 When : Monday 12th May 2008 Where : Front of Rowland Rees Gallery, Greenhill Rd Summertown (opposite Bottle Shop) 7:45pm. On On : Crafers Inn Hare : Apu & Krafty. Was : a jaunt along Greenhill Road, then into Ridge Road, utilising the Heysen Trail at times. : Past the perpetually rotating radar scanner, under stately pine trees, admiring views of the city lights. : Home via Woods Hill Rd, a peaceful and traffic-free Bickle Road and then Tregarthen Road, with the pack of 10 : sharing an impressive serving of salt & pepper squid & battered fish at the Crafers. Run : 923 When : Monday 5th May 2008 Where : 14 Hawthorn Rd Mt Barker 7:45pm. On On : Budgie's Shed - as above. Hare : Budgie. Was : A drop off at Windmill Hill on the edge of Hahndorf for the runners, with a bonus : arrow placard for Scrubber. The unmarked run route took the 3 runners down into Hahndorf then via : Windsor Ave to Littlehampton, then home. The walkers accompanied Budgie for a 30 minute jaunt up Hawthorn Road : (with a brief detour to check fresh mortgage territory in Silverwood Drive). Pierre cunningly anticipated : the turnaround point resulting in he and Hungry being in the lead on the on home stretch, where the pack finally got rained on. : Back in the shed, Rowdy's 60th (that day) was celebrated. Was : : Run : 921 When : Monday 21st April 2008 Where : Front of IGA Supermarket, Main Rd, Macclesfield) 7:45pm. On On : BBQ @ Slack Residence, Macclesfield.. Hare : Slacky Was : A trip to the Goat Track and back for the walkers, runners enjoyed Goat Track as well, plus Gummy Track. Hungry missed the start & showed Pierre the nightlife of Macclesfield. Great atmosphere & celebration ports in the RSL afterwards, with Ben behind the bar.(A supermarket-free future for Slacky after inducting new owners) Run : 920 When : Monday 14th April 2008 Where : Carpark of Blakiston Church old Princes Highway Littlehampton(1km east of Great Eastern on left) 7:40pm. On On : Millers Arms, Nairne. Hares : Aussie Was : Was a pleasant moonlit outing preceded by a tour of historic gravestones. On bitumen along Princes Highway and Bald Hills Road, then up a switchback dirt track just before the tunnel, winding through picturesque unfrequented dirt roads to emerge opposite the old Church. A Search and Resue effort was needed for Budgie and Heads or Tails who headed down the wrong track after the walk pack stopped for Bud, who needed a breather on one of the steeper stretches. Heaps of food at the Millers Arms. Run : 919 When : Monday 7th April 2008 Where : Opposite Eagle on the Hill Hotel (Old Shell service station) depart 7:45pm. On On : Crafers Inn, Crafers. Hares : Hungry Was : An overambitious attempt by the Hare to exploit the trail networks in Cleland, resulting in a late 8:10 start and improvised arrangements for the Walkers, who strolled towards Crafers on the bitumen, then headed back via an old Telstra cable maintenance track. Scrubber & Goanna got back late after running through Cleland on some of the marked trail, but coming home via the Summit Road (longer but safer). Run : 918 When : Monday 31st March 2008 Where : Front of Rising Sun Hotel, Lobethal.Est depart 7:50pm. On On : Rising Sun Hotel, Lobethal. Hares : Bud & Rowdy Was : A runner-free run. The hares led the walk pack up Pioneer Ave, left into Mill St : for views over the town, then briefly heading for Adelaide via (naturally) the Adelaide Road. : Then via Neudorf Road and Post Office Road (passing an historic well-preserved Hop Kiln just before : the Neudorf Creek, pointed out by Plug), before cresting the ridge at the top for a hard-earned view of Lobethal. Run : 917 When : Monday 24th March 2008 Where : Car Park, Keith Stephenson Park, opp. Mt Barker High School.Est depart 7:50pm. On On : Gray's Inn, Mt Barker. Hares : Slacky Was : A bigger crowd than expected, with 14 ending up munching on ham at Gray's Inn after the Linear Park walk and a figure of 8 run led by Scrubber for the runners, including Tokyo visitors Rapunzel & 70% on the way home from Interhash. Run : 916 When : Monday 17th March 2008 Where : Front of Balhannah Hotel. Est depart 7:50pm. On On : Balhannah Hotel. Hares : Bones & Cannibal Was : Another Train Watching trip via Greenhill & Woodcock Roads, to the Railway Crossing on Spoehr Road. The hares' arrangements were perfect- the pack only had to wait for 60 seconds before waving to the train driver and getting a cheery toot in response. The runners went back via Johnson Road while the on home for the walkers was via the Valley Road with a minor detour up Glebe. Heaps of food at the bar rounded the night off nicely. Run : 915 When : Monday 10th March 2008 Where : Front of Woodside Hotel. Est depart 7:50pm. On On : Woodside Hotel. Hares : Ken & Barbie Was : Across the road and up Tiers Rd, with Hungry waiting a while,leaning on a lamp-post on the off-chance that Wee Watcher might have arrived at 8:00 (No). Budgie's shirt (definitely glowing in the dark)was visible from a surprising distance in the gathering gloom, as the walkers turned right into Western Branch Road, for a view of the lights of Woodside town. On on along Pfitzners Road and across the Valley Road, briefly heading for the Chocolate Factory, but instead of the delightful aroma of chocolate, the evening air was rank with the stench of creosote. The walk trail looped back to the Valley Road and home, while the runners (including Mary) went down Ridge Rd to the Barracks end before coming back to enjoy the beer garden. Run : 914 When : Monday 3rd March 2008 Where : Front of Crafers Inn, Crafers. Est depart 7:50pm. On On : Crafers Inn. Hare : Wee Watcher Was : A stroll up to the Mt Lofty summit enjoying the sights & city lights for the walkers, while the runners ran along the Piccadilly Valley road then up the eastern slopes of Mt Lofty, before turning for home. Run : 913 When : Monday 25th Feb 2008 Where : 14 Hawthorn Rd Mt Barker.Est depart 7:50pm. On On : Budgie's shed,14 Hawthorn Rd Mt Barker. Hare : Budgie Was : Around the lanes & byways of Mt Barker for the pack of 15, with the usual conviviality and top quality home brew in the shed afterwards. Run : 912 When : Monday 18th Feb 2008 Where : Front of IGA Supermarket, Macclesfield. Est depart 7:50pm. On On : Slacky's patio, Macclesfield Hares : Slacky Was : Rated as "excellent" by Budgie (even though it was an hour and 20 minutes!) On out past the fire station, trending clockwise. A fire track led into Gemmell Road for the on home. Run : 911 When : Monday 11th Feb 2008 Where : Front of Miller's Arms Hotel, Nairne. Est depart 7:50pm. On On : Miller's Arms Hares : Bud & Rowdy Was : First run with Hills for visitors from Bateman's Bay H3, Captain Pugwash and Sticky Date. Car convoy got the pack to the start, the cnr of Woodside & Military Roads. The walk circuit climbed Military Road, then headed south for Nairne along Piney Ridge Rd, offering pleasant views over an undulating rural landscape. The trail then merged into North Road, & over the creek to the pub. Arrows for the runners were missed in the(dark)closing stages leading Scrubber & NoBull to run back to their cars. Other drivers got a van ride to the parking spot. The Sandwich and potato wedge plates produced by the publican were just the right amount for the pack. A good night. Run : 910 When : Monday 4th Feb 2008 Where : Woorabinda Reserve Car park, Woorabinda Drv Stirling . Est depart 7:50pm. On On : Crafers Inn Hares : Hungry Was : A walk in the (Woorabinda) Park for 15 starters, including Whiskers, and Dry Quack ex runner with Nelson Bay Hash NSW, who gamely carried a fully loaded baby harness for the duration. Arrows kept the runners happy despite a high success rate for the Hare as regards false trails. Trail circled through the Woorabinda Reserve exiting into Ethel St, then led through Stirling Oval, Garrod Crescent, Gould Rd, onto the bike/walk path under the pines by the old Marbury School. The Glades Lane fire track and Coromandel Rd led to a 5 way check at the Aldgate Meals on Wheels at the corner of Reserve and Arkaba. The trail dropped over the edge of the old quarry at the back onto a BMX track, then followed the railway reserve westward to Madurta Ave. In the meantime the hare led the walkers on a shortened circuit avoiding run loops on the northern side of Mt Barker Road. At the check in Madurta Rd, most people picked up the walking path through the scrub heading back towards Woorabinda- except for Budgie, Bud and Kaye who were having too good a conversation to worry about "on back" arrows & trail markings in general until the absence thereof finally registered. Fortunately by following the curve of Keroma Drive they spotted arrows leading across the bitumen, and followed us back into the Woorabinda Reserve for a different view of the lake. Back at the pub, Bones and Cannibal turned up too late for a feed, but had walked the full run circuit in the dark after a late arrival at the start. Up Hawthorn, down Bolen then along the picturesque linear trail along the Mt Barker Creek before returning though the Mt Barker shooping district for a very pleasant Christmas jaunt. Our three runners got to travel all the way down the creek to the Lateringa wetlands before having done their penance could return to Budgie's shed and have a beer with Santa. Was good night and great once more to see so many familiar faces from hashes of old. Run : 903 When : Monday 10th Dec 2007. Where : Front of Wistow Post Office. Est departure 7:50pm. On On : Was to have been the Great Eastern, if we hadn't been locked out. Hares : Rowdy & Bud Was : 3 runners got a lift with the (perhaps) 12 walkers, to a parking area on a nameless dirt road about 4km South of Wistow. Here we started off on a Wildlife Corridoor track maintained by the Rodwell Creek/Wistow Landcare Group. The hare claimed arrows had been laid but these were a tad hard to spot until we got through onto Archer Hill Road. On the way the pack as well as the hare appear to have taken the wrong fork in the track, resulting in a spell of exploration around a large dam until the real track was picked up again.On On to a junction with a friendly dog, then home via Vale Road and the bitumen heading back to the cars. Meanwhile the runners ran back to Wistow, except for run/walker Goanna who was getting anxious (like some others who were looking at their watches)and ran back to find the walkers. Arrival at the Great Eastern had been supposedly arranged for 9:30. However when we finally got there at 10:00 the displeased publican declined our trade. Apart from this problem it had been an enjoyable excursion in new country. Run : 902 When : Monday 3rd Dec 2007. Where : Front of IGA Supermarket,Macclesfield. Est departure 7:50pm. Hares : Slacky Was : a bit stressful at the start for Hungry's dog who was forgotten in the car until the pack was half a km out of town climbing the hill on the Echunga road. Hungry's first run in ages (to retrieve the dog)was assisted by gravity. Slacky led the walkers into Shobbrook Rd for a scenic circuit back to Maccy. Meanwhile Scrubber & new runner Matthew took a wrong turn but turned back when Scrubber realised they were heading for Paris Creek. The reunited pack reconvened at the Slack mansion on the edge of town for generous hospitality, the food offhandedly described by Slacky as being "YMCA" in origin("Yesterday's Muck Cooked Again")....but in reality being top quality. Hares : Bones & Cannibal Was : One of those unusual events where the walkers get back (about 10:02)and find that the runners have already been at the bar for an hour. : On out for the walkers was alongside the railway line, heading west. Nice views including Bones' & Cannibal's old horse standing in their back paddock, : in their back paddock,viewed shortly after a halt for a 3,000 tonne goods train. The runners sensibly short cut their assigned route, and passed : us heading back to the bar before we got to the Blakiston Road, whence our pilgrimage took us back to Nairne via Pulleine and North Roads. More pleasant scenery to follow : as the trail turned into Clisby Rd , briefly followed the Valley Road then took us home via Walters and Size Roads. Arrows led the pack along the : old railway line to Mt Barker Junction, then to Littlehampton for a tour of Coppin Scrub, returning home across the : Freeway onto Daddow Rd. On On : ECHUNGA Hotel Hares : John Was : A bit of a worry when we gathered in the pub car park,'cos the pub was in darkness. At the amazingly early hour of 7:45 we started moving off into High : Street (the name being a bit of a giggle as almost all of the town is on the Adelaide Road), with even Wee Watcher having arrived on account of getting : 3 calls re the change of venue! Just as collective consciousness that Bones & Cannibal weren't with us halted progress. As Goanna & others volunteered to wait, : a Savagely driven & familiar 4WD came into view at the pub corner. So it was still one of the earliest starts for a long time. The hare admitted to perhaps a bit over : 8km for the walkers so a brisk pace was maintained. Left into Battunga Rd, then north into Kavanagh Rd, with the hare shepherding us around the corner lest : we discover the on home just over the intersection. With the odd check or 3 trail led counterclockwise to Sands Road, exiting onto the Battunga Rd : (Echunga-Meadows road) via Concannon Rd,for an on home along the bitumen. At this point a loop for the runners took a dog leg across Battunga Rd then up : Bailey Rd for a slightly longer return to Echunga. All back by 9:05, then by consensus (except for Wee Watcher, who headed for home) a trip to Gray's Inn : for beers etc and the toasted-sandwich-in-the Gaming-Bar option. The hare was so keen for the walkers to get their money's worth that the runners got home first (burdened as they were with an injured Garfield that ended up perched on the scribe's windscreen). On On : Stanley Bridge Hotel, Verdun Bridgewater Inn Hares : Scrubber Was : a return to the area of the fabled tunnel, scene of Tarzan and Mildred's encounter with the Melbourne Express. Also NoBull's first run for months, after touring around Australia with Sally. The hare had gone to a fair bit of trouble setting a tortuous trail largely using fox/kangaroo tracks through the scrub. All this was missed by Hungry, reportedly told by the hare(former local resident)to drive up the first left, then first left again from the pub. When this rapidly brought him back to the main road, he had an unaccountably strong thirst for a Cascade Light, and recalled that a fridge full were waiting for him at home. On On : Terminus Hotel Hares : Rocket Rod Was : 90 minutes for the walkers including a scenic on home facing the lights of Strathalbyn,from a quiet ridgetop somewhere on the Old Bull Creek Rd. The start was somewhat novel, with 2 options labelled "W" and "F" .The pack was too polite to ask exactly what they stood for after the blokes were told to start from "W" while Scrubber & the ladies kicked off on the F trail. The Hare had put down a fair few arrows including numerous checks in the town area however Scrubber lost trail on the edge of town resulting in an ad hoc circumnavigation of Strath (which possibly saved him from a run to Bull Creek). A good night's outing enjoyed by all. Run : 870 When : Monday 23rd April 2007 Where : Piccadilly Rd frontage of Reserve cnr Atkinson Ave & Piccadilly Rd Piccadilly. Est depart 7:45pm. In the meantime we had helped another lost motorist, getting to be a regular feature of walks nowadays. An obscure fire track provided a final and interesting ten minutes on the eastern side of Piccadilly Rd. Scrubber and Goanna got their bonus runner kms in the direction of the Golf Course. The walk explored a closed road gradually reverting to scrub before emerging onto the main Echunga-Meadows Road & on home to sandwiches and beers at the bar (kept open just for us). On On : Hahndorf Inn Hares : Scrubber Was : Set with arrows corkscrewing through every lane easement and carpark in Hahndorf, with an excursion to the Dog Shelter for the runners. Scrubber, accosted by an agitated neighbour while in the church grounds with some of the pack, blandly responded "I'm taking some of my Mobilong parolees for a run"! On On : Hungry's Back Yard Hares : Hungry Was : A 90 minute outing for the walkers because Hungry had (a) slackly not allowed for 10 years of jungle growth and new (very barbed)fencing since his last excursion into the forest behind Bradwood Park and (b) turned in the wrong direction on emerging onto Longwood Rd (distracted by relief that the pack was laughing and chatting, rather than bleeding or carrying the disabled). In the meantime, unexpected runner Sue from Sydney was circuiting the region with the Hare's only real map. The walking pack viewed the industrial hub of Bradbury, descended Terrara Lane, then climbed up to Nicholls Rd via fire tracks and someone's front yard. Some added interest was provided in the closing stages by an opportunity to offer a range of travel options to a lost Italian who had been seeking to reach Stirling by driving towards Mt Bold. Then the fortuitous sighting of the Bradbury CFS station lights corrected another navigation error, enabling the pack to reach the safety of their cars, discovering that Sue had despaired of their return and left.
